THE first try went to Shebbear with some instinctive play by the scrum half who took full advantage to sprint 20 metres to score.
This raised the tempo of the game and after concerted pressure by the Kelly forwards, Robert Wilson dived over to even the score. Shebbear replied with a score through their forwards and in a repeat of the first score Kelly again pulled equal.
After half time, Shebbear came out with more gusto and started to dominate the Kelly College pack, increasing their score to 20 points.
Kelly were not to go down without a fight and Liam Yeo (captain) made a magnificent run to score his second try which he also converted.
It was now the turn of the Kelly forwards to dominate and after some sustained pressure Ben Higgins went over to score and put Kelly College 2 points ahead.
Kelly continued to pile on the pressure and a magnificent last-ditch tackle by the Shebbear full-back only just stopped a certain try following a superb run from the halfway by Olly Massy-Birch.
