THIS was an encouraging pre-season friendly, not only because of the win, but also the performances of some of the new Okehampton players.
Even though Okehampton have not played together for a while, the ladies settled quickly and it was not long before a goal came.
Okehampton continued to dominate play on a hot afternoon and by half-time were 4-0 up. They scored two more after the break and Oak Villa netted a consolation goal.
The scorers were Kelly Cann, with her first goal for the ladies, Naomi Wilkins with two fine goals, one a superb long range shot and a hat-trick from Kelly Cooper, who knocked in a wonderful volley from a Michelle Vaughan cross.
The whole team played well, with excellent performances from debut players.
