Okehampton College 1st XI 1 Kelly 1st XI 15 KELLY girls set out to put some serious goals away and they certainly acheived their aim. Charlie Hofmann and Claire Bruna for Kelly linked well to create the opening first two goals for Kelly, whilst Claire Mason soon linked up with Georgie Killingbeck to create the third. After another well deserved goal from Claire Bruna, Claire Mason scored another two from open play, on rebounds. Georgie Killingbeck finished the scoring for Kelly before half time, making it 7-0 to the visitors. In the second half Kate Eadie took a pass from Chloe Bassett which resulted in a a further goal. With Claire Mason keen for more, she worked hard to put away another score fairly soon. With the forwards now playing upfront, within 30 seconds of Jenny Briant playing centre forward, Kelly received a short corner and Georgie Killingbeck converted the opportunity. On Jenny Briant?s second touch of the ball up front, another short corner was awarded. Again Georgie Killingbeck converted the play to a goal. With Gabriella Murphy having played particularly well at the back in the first half, she was now positioned at left wing. With Anna Balm working hard to link passes and crosses it was not long before Gabriella Murphy?s first goal of the season was secured. Louisa Frost, now playing at right wing, also made her debut on the season?s score sheet. In the last minute and after a number one short corner routine was decided, Jenny Briant the scored the final goal. Player of match Gem Murphy.
