MATCHES against Stoodley Knowle are always difficult as they play a static, silent game of netball, but Kelly !st VII chipped away at the defence.
With impressive shooting from Katy Renouf and Jo Hollick, Kelly went on to win 38-15.
Away at Tavistock the same day, the 2nd VII took time to settle into their game, in particular after Charlotte Jude went down with an ankle injury ? Kelly had no reserve so played Martha Unwin, the reserve for the U16s.
She had a storming match which gave the team the confidence to attack brilliantly. Excellent shooting came from Hayley Wedlake and Emily Wilson, but player of the match was Katy Shepherd who used all her skill to keep the Tavistock shooters down.
Kelly ran out winners 23 -11.
The U16s showed good teamwork skills, and with Gerry Bull strong in defence and Stephanie Croft dominating a much taller player in the centre. They ran out comfortable winners by 34 to 3.
The U15s did not show their true potential and played carelessly at times. But with Lauren Rogers outstanding in defence and Toni Fulton shooting well, they emerged as winners by 21 to 12.
The U12s showed some lovely netball with Jenny Pollock playing well as goal keeper.
Anastasia Steed was player of the match, as the team won a close encounter by 12 to 8.
