THE Mid Devon Hunt Pony Club found two new stars last weekend at the South Devon Moorland's annual tetrathlon.

Competing in her first ever competition, Kate Bilton did brilliantly to finish in second place in her class, while her brother Laurie finished third in his. Kate started the day with a fabulous shoot score of 860 points and then produced the best swim in her age group, finishing fifth at the end of the first day.

On a day that was definitely too hot for running, her team mates, Lily Earp and Lauren Northway were also 'on song' with Lily equalling her personal best shoot score of 840 and Lauren maintaining her fine form in the pool. A good ride cross country saw Kate move shoot up to second place — a superb result for her first effort at Tet.

In the assisted mini class, Laurie and team mate Maddie Earp were determined to uphold the team honour and Maddie set them on the path to glory with the best shoot score in the class, with a pb shoot of 800.

Laurie did well to ride a clear round, which meant he finished in third place and the two of them were in a mixed team that finished second.
