EIGHTEEN young members of Tavistock Youth Café Plus (TYCP) plus their parents and carers enjoyed an adventurous day out at Roadford Lake last week.

Arriving by coach the children enjoyed a fantastic day, soon getting to grips with the indoor climbing wall and archery.

After lunch out came the sun and TYCP hit the water, kayaking being the favourite for many, though they seemed to like spending more time in the water than on it.

The rest of the group sped round the lake on boats — even parents and carers got a turn.

TYCP is planning a number of trips and activities over the summer months funded by grants from Aiming High for Disabled Children and Children in Need.
