A FORMER Tavistock College music teacher is searching for women who would like to be part of the town?s first ladies? choir. Singer Rosemary Turner from Tavistock has been considering the possibility of forming a ladies? choir for some time and has now taken on the task of setting one up. Mrs Turner said: ?There is a varied and vibrant music scene in Tavistock but, to my knowledge, there isn?t a ladies? choir and I am looking into the possibility of setting one up ? I would really love the opportunity! ?Singing is such fun and so energising, as well as a chance to meet people from different walks of life. ?As far as the type of music that the choir would sing is concerned, I would envisage that a broad mixture of styles would be sampled.? There will be a meeting at Tavistock College on Tuesday, September 25 in MU2 at 7.30pm, for anyone interested in the idea. For more information, call Mrs Turner on 07866 488630.
