THERE is one section of Tavistock Golf Club who will be waiting eagerly for the spring and that is the juniors.
They have finished the regular season on a high, and have begun to show the promise, which their ?guardians? over the last two years, Andrew and Victoria Coe in 2001, and principally Philip Gawman and Nigel Doidge this year, believed they had.
The last month has been significant in their progress, which started when the juniors got the better of Tavistock Veterans winning 3-2.But the excellent result which caught everyone?s attention was the resounding victory over Yelverton Juniors by 378 to 327.
