FORMER Okehampton rugby player Julian White has been handed a recall to the England squad ahead of this Saturday?s RBS Six Nations showdown with Wales.
Leicester Tigers prop White was pleased to be back in the squad after injuring his knee.
He said: ?I?m feeling good. I had the operation just before Christmas and for the past nine weeks I have been training six days a week. It?s great to be back involved.?
The world champions will be hoping to get their campaign back on track against Wales at Twickenham after the recent defeat to Ireland.
Julian said: ?I watched the game and it was disappointing to lose, especially at home. But it?s happened and the important thing is not to dwell on it.
?Everybody is frustrated and will analyse their own position. We will train hard this week and get it right on Saturday.?
England head coach Sir Clive Woodward has named Julian on the bench for the game which means the non-selection of Jason Leonard and Matt Stevens.
Julian said there was plenty of competition for places in the squad: ?Competition has got to be good. If you were in a position where there was nobody pushing you then it might be easy to sit back.?
