THE Devon German Shepherd Dog Rescue held a companion dog show with two obedience classes at Spreyton Village Hall playing field recently. 

The event raised £392.50.

Thanks were expressed to all who supported the show and to Sharon Adams for judging and supporting the rescue dog charity.

Winners of the four pedigree classes: AV puppy (6-12 months), Della (Rachel Chamness); AV sporting and reserve best in show, Bendict (Jan Bayliss); AV non-sporting, Dulcea (Ken Ransom); AV open and best in show, Rupert (Jan Bayliss).

Winners o f the ten novelty classes: Crossbreed, Barney (Loretta Haines); Veteran, Zazz (Margaret Tarvit); rescued/rehomed, Skipper (Sarah Barrett); long coat, Keisha (Ken Ransom); short coat, Tia (Rodney Arscott); appealing eyes, Rosie (Maggie Moore; handsome male, Merlin (Maggie Parkhouse); prettiest female, Molly (Marion Leeming); best movement and best in show, Jake (Terri Andrews); dog Judge would take home and reserve best in show, Toby (Rosemary Foot).

Winners of the two obedience classes: Class A, Heki (Margaret Tarvit); Class B, Esti (Margaret Tarvit).
