FEBRUARY saw the Ju Jitsu Tavistock Club give its first public demonstration, since opening in May 2002, for the Roundabout Youth Club in Yelverton.

Sarah Parr, youth leader, said: 'We always try and give our young people of the Roundabout Youth Club what they want, and this was one of the things they asked for.

'It went down very well and was both entertaining and educational for them.'

The club meets on Tuesdays between 7.30pm and 9pm and Thursdays between 8pm and 9pm.
