THE teachers of Meadowlands Swim School in Tavistock have chosen Joseph Crosher, aged 6, to be given a free scholarship for the spring term of 2010.
They decided to award the scholarship to the young swimmer in appreciation of all his efforts.
Chris Gallie, the swim school co-ordinator Meadowlands Leisure Pool, said that Joseph has been struggling with the terrors of deep water during the last term and has now suddenly lost all his fear and is progressing at an amazing rate. Well done Joseph!'
Meadowlands Swim School is enrolling now and still has some spaces available.
Swim School is open to anyone from aged from three and a half years to adult.
* Classes take place between 4pm-5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 8.30am to 10pm on Saturday.
