JOIN Dartmoor Search and Rescue for a fundraising trek through the darkness this summer. The annual charity event, named 'Midnight Madness', has been organised by the DSRT (Plymouth) together with the Royal Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen and will take place on July 19. Starting at Princetown Primary School at 9pm, the circular route of 18km takes in many popular paths, including the Burrator valley and the historic Princetown railway track. Full support will be given for the duration of the walk with manned checkpoints and sweep team following behind. Full first aid cover will be provided along with any other assistance needed and a traditional Westcountry pasty will ease the aches and pains at the end.
