IT will soon be Christmas, and it will soon be the pantomime season — so the Courtenay Players are getting prepared for the festive season.
They have the plot — set in the Kingdom of Dropovtokip — but what they now need are performers and helpers to ensure a theatrical success.
The fun-packed production called 'Sweet Dreams or the Curse of the Crystal' involves an evil magician, a princess and a six-foot chicken called Bolster.
Roger Partridge, who is a member of the Courtenay Players and creator of the story on which the pantomime is based, said it was a traditional show.
'It has all the usual ingredients – a mixture of folklore and fairy tale. Where magic abounds, good and evil fight it out and dreams come true.'
Added to that there is a happy ending with plenty of music, dance and comedy along the way.
If you are interested in taking part both on stage or behind the scenes there are plenty of roles to be filled. All ages are welcome. Contact Roger on (01837) 52553 for details.
