OKEHAMPTON and Hatherleigh Children's Centres are headed to Simmons Park for the Barnardo's 'Big Toddle' on Friday, June 17.

The Big Toddle is the UK's biggest charity event for children under the age of five. Each year, up to half a million children have great fun with their friends, taking part in this short sponsored walk. Everyone taking part will receive a medal, sticker and certificate.

All families with under fives and all early year groups are welcome to join in the morning of fun. Any local groups joining in can keep 25 per cent of the sponsorship they raise for their own funds.

This year's theme is animals, with toddlers able to dress up as their favourite creature for the day and take part in animal-themed activities. The money raised goes to projects that help under fives, including family centres, play groups and parenting support services.
