MEMBERS from local churches will be celebrating the World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 3. More than three million people worldwide will be taking part in the service, which has been prepared by Christian women living in South Africa. The day begins as dawn breaks over the island of Tonga and continues across each continent with the last services being held on the islands of Samoa, circling the world in prayer. The theme of this year?s service is ?Signs of the Times?. St Andrews? Church in Whitchurch will be taking part with a service at 2pm.
