Columbines 4
St Agnes 0
THIS was a fantastic display from Columbines ladies' hockey team.
Okehampton scored early on when a Sue Stanbury strike was beautifully deflected into the goal by Jo Moppett.
The Columbines' midfield and attack ran and battled for everything but only went in one up at half-time.
Soon into the second half Stanbury scored to give Okehampton the cushion they needed. With the team tiring, the defence had to dig in, which they did superbly.
Sharon Parsons made a number of saves at crucial points.
Netty Collett, Debbie Pritchard and Sandy Douglas grittily fought for possession of the ball.
Kelly Cooper scored Okehampton's third when she finished off a lovely passing move by skilfully placing the ball past the goalkeeper.
This knocked the stuffing out of St Agnes and Jo Moppett found the back of the net in a goalmouth scramble for Okehampton's fourth.
