AMATEUR singers, musicians and actors are being encouraged to join in and craft a musical in a day as West Devon Musical Ministries hosts Jerusalem Joy at Fairplace Church next week. The Christian musical will be prepared and rehearsed in a day on Saturday, March 5, before it is performed at 7.30pm that night at the Church. There will be three workshop rehearsals led by Annie Routley of CMM Birmingham between 11am and 5pm on the Saturday. The evening performance is free and there will be a retiring offering for charity. Places for the workshops do need to be booked and there is a small charge. Booking forms are available from Rainbow Christian Bookshop or from Chrissie on 07792 314949. Before then, there will be the chance of a run through of the musical on March 1 at Fairplace Church at 7.30pm. It?s an opportunity for anyone who is interested to sing along and familiarise themselves with a CD recording of the musical and decide whether they would like to be part of the experience ? all are welcome.
