THE managing director of a successful Tavistock company this week announced his retirement from the business he set up 19 years ago. Jeffrey Stackhouse, of South West Acrylics, is retiring from the company following an agreed management buy-out. South West Acrylics employs more than 20 people and exports 50% of its products to Scandinavia and Europe. Mr Stackhouse, who is the organiser of the popular Tavistock Food and Drink Festival, said: ?I am delighted that the company has been bought out by my staff as it will guarantee its future in Tavistock. ?Naturally, I shall be sad to say goodbye, but I shall still be staying in contact as a technical and sales consultant. ?I must particularly thank all the staff, past and present, who worked so loyally for me over the years, some of whom have been with the company over 15 years.?
