OKEHAMPTON Golf Club ladies? section on June 25 played the qualifying round of the Tunisian Salver competition. The winners, who will go on to represent the club in the next round, were Janet Hatch and Pam Jarman.
The County Scratch Team (division 2) played Stover away on June 27 and won four games to three.
The highlight of this match was a hole in one by Lyn Atkinson on the seventh hole. She went on to win her match, a great achievement given that it was her first game in the scratch team.
The Sheelah Creasy team had a close match away at Libbaton on June 30. They lost by 4 games to 3.
The open day took place on July 2. The principal winners - Okehampton unless stated - were: Best scratch and Margaret Down Trophy, Marcia Holwill.

Bronze division, 1, Doris Jewell; 2, Eileen Piper; 3, Rosemary Russell (Launceston).
The best visitor?s prize was won by Mrs R Ferguson, of the Royal North Devon.
AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday the monthly medal was played.
There were excellent scores in all three divisions with handicap reductions.
