A TAVISTOCK family were on cloud nine when they scooped £10,000 in a prize draw at the recent balloon fiesta.
Jane Hallett, who lives in the town with her husband and five-year-old daughter Rebecca, was entered in Bristol and West?s prize draw when she applied for a further advance on her mortgage.
She was presented with her cheque by Bristol and West area manager Marcus Iles at the Tavistock Balloon Fiesta before heading skywards in the company?s hot air balloon to enjoy a birdseye view of the town.
Mrs Hallett said: ?I was surprised and delighted to win this much - it?s not every day that this happens!?
Mike Henry, head of mortgages at Bristol and West, said Mrs Hallett had been ?shell shocked? by the news of her win.
?Silence fell on the other end of the phone when I rang her to tell her about her win,? he said. ?She was totally shell shocked.?
Bristol and West launched the free prize draw in June.
