THE wedding of Natasha James and Michael Crocombe, both of Thorndon Cross, Ashwater, took place at Bridestowe Methodist Church on Saturday, July 14.

The Rev John Peak officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her father Dean James, is the only daughter of Dean and Tanya James of Newstandon, Bridestowe. The bridegroom is the only son of Roddy and Jane Crocombe, of Lugworthy Farm, Germansweek.

The bride wore a strapless ivory satin dress by Ellis, with buttons up the back. She held a colourful bouquet which was a mixture of germinis, peonies, roses and clematis buds and calla lillies. The bride's tiara and the bridesmaids hair pieces were made by the bridegroom's sister, Becky Crocombe.

She was attended by her friends Holly Hamlyn and Eleanor Smale, and cousins Beth Hill and Sarah Bastard. They wore full length dark purple satin dresses, and held small versions of the bride's bouquet.

The best man was Daniel Webber, a friend of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Ross James, the bride's brother, and Chris Ruby the bridegroom's friend.

The reception was held at the Two Bridges Hotel, Princetown.

The couple are spending their honeymoon in Cyprus.

The bride is a staff nurse at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and the bridegroom works on his family farm.

Their future home is in Ashwater.
