MALCOLM Morrison of Tavistock-based Hog's Bottom Garden Delights was delighted with the first day of this year's show.
A regular exhibitor with his tempting range of chutneys, sauces, oils and jams, he had a prime corner position in the food and drink pavilion and also secured some valuable exposure on BBC radio.
Malcolm said: 'Devon County is always a successful show for us. We set up yesterday and we will be here for the whole three days.
'We just did a bit on Radio Devon — they are trying to get special status for Devon cream teas and we are doing all the jam supplies for them.
'It's appropriate, as the Devon cream tea is supposed to have originated from Tavistock, but that was a bit of fun to do.'
