DESPITE this being their first game for almost five months, Okehampton came back in style.

They produced an excellent team performance and had possession for the majority of the game, due to good passing and control.

The defence was solid and in attack there were many inspired runs past two or three players.

Chris Holland scored a hat-trick, Joe Turner got two and Lawrence Waldron, Ashley Clark, Scott Tremain and Wayne Atherton scored one each.

Honiton U11s 3

IN a first half that was dominated by Honiton Okehampton never really got into their stride.

Both teams had shots on goal in the opening minutes with Okehampton?s keeper, Will Ingram, called into action again.

Honiton scored their first goal through a series of good passes up the field.

Their second came through a goal kick which fell short and Honiton seized the advantage and scored just before half-time.

Okehampton returned after the break with a more determined look and Bradley Ausden just missed out on scoring thier first with a shot that passed across the face of the goal.

Hontion scored against the run of play but the goal was disallowed.

David Smith, for Okehampton, made a superb pass the Paul Gent who attempted a shot. As the ball rebounded Harry Smith scored Okehampton?s only goal of the morning.

Honiton picked up their game again and despite Okehampton withstanding increasing pressure they found the net to finish the match 3-1.

Bideford U12s 3

OKEHAMPTON started with a goal in the first minute from Robert Dunn.

Callum Ausden passed a good ball to Dunn who just missed making it goal number two.

Bideford equalised in the 11th minute, but Okehampton managed to regain the lead when Adam Keats put a lovely ball through to Dunn who chipped it over the keeper into the net.

One minute from half time Bideford scored from a corner.

In the second half there was good play from Okehampton defenders, preventing Bideford from scoring.

Okehampton had many chances but could not seem to get the goals.

They battled hard, but luck went to Bideford when, in the last minute, they had a lucky goal giving them a 3-2 win.

Man of the match: Tom Wilson.

In an earlier match Braunton beat Okehampton 2-1.
