WEST Devon Borough Council is lifting its car parking charges for Tavistock and Okehampton from midday on December 23 and for the whole of December 24.
'This is a trial,' said Mark Hall, head of commercial services. 'Next year we will work with the chambers of trade and town councils to see if it can be extended on particular afternoons to link with late night shopping.'
