CHRISTMAS will be the last thing on most people's minds at the Okehampton Show next week — but children at the show can enter a Christmas card competition to win a fun day out.

Moorland Fuels is running the competition for the second year running. The winning design will be turned into the heating oil company's Christmas card and used on the back of one of its tankers.

The winner will receive a family day out at Crealy Adventure Park, and Moorland Fuels will donate £50 to a charity of the winner's choosing. Two runners-up will have £25 each donated to a charity of their choosing.

Ben More, managing director of Moorland Fuels, said: 'Our customers loved the winning Christmas card that eight-year-old Rosie Harris created last year. We had such great feedback on it that we decided to add Rosie's design to the back of one of our tankers. The 2013 winning design will also be displayed on one of our tankers.'

The goal is to turn a fuel tanker into a work of art by adding colourful designs to its body. To make designing the Christmas cards a little easier, Moorland Fuels has created templates of its tanker.

To enter, applicants must be 14 or under.  Templates for the tanker can be downloaded from http://www.moorlandfuels.co.uk">www.moorlandfuels.co.uk or hard copies can be picked up at the Moorland Fuels trade stand at the Okehampton and Chagford shows. The deadline for entries is September 30.

The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges comprising Moorland Fuels employees and its supplier BWOC.

The top entries will be displayed on the Moorland Fuels Facebook page.
