AFTER several years absence, the popular scarecrows will be returning to adorn the streets of Gunnislake for the 2014 festival.
Villagers are asked to decide on the design and character of individual scarecrows which they are to make and exhibit around the village in the run up to the four days of the festival, which runs from Wednesday, July 30 until Saturday, August 2.
The anniversary of World War One will be the theme for the popular history exhibition by Mandy Rolfe, and it is hoped that August 2 will see new exhibitions and stalls as well as input by GLAD, the Gunnislake Local Amateur Dramatic Society.
Further enquiries about the festival generally or about the availability of stall spaces should be addressed to secretary Jean Day on email [email protected]">[email protected] or chairperson Gill Pengelly on 01822 833752.
