RECORD-breaking A-level results have been achieved by students at Callington Community College this year.

The QCA average points per entry has risen again this year from 209 in 2010 to 218, the best in the colleges' history.

Approximately one in four of all A level grades were A* or A and 98% of students achieved a pass grade.

The college said it was especially pleasing that A* and A grades achieved by boys had risen from 17% to 22%. The QCA average points score for boys has also risen from 204 to 207. The pass rate for girls is again above the national average at 98.3%.
