DANCES, sketches and monologues with a fruit theme will be performed as part of the harvest celebrations in Okehampton. West Devon Music Ministries will be providing an evening of entertainment and food for harvest time in the charter hall, on Thursday, October 13 at 7.30pm in aid of Macmillan nurses. As well as songs and sketches, the audience will be able to enjoy a light three-course meal of fruit, salad and pudding. West Devon Music Ministries said the idea behind the show was to give people in the town who may not attend one of the churches a chance to still enjoy a traditional harvest supper. The group will also be performing the show at other church venues in West Devon, including Bow, Sticklepath and Hatherleigh. Tickets are available from the Fairplace Church shop and Chastey?s Shoes and cost £5.75 for adults and £3.75 for under 12s.
