NOEL Edmonds is bringing his popular TV game show Deal or No Deal to Exeter when he switches on the town?s Christmas lights on November 16. The celebrity, who has revived his television career with the show, will be launching the Exeter Leukaemia Fund Deal or No Deal Challenge which will be running throughout the late night shopping period. The first round of the challenge will be held at Exeter Football Ground at 8pm, shortly after Noel, who is patron of the ELF and lives near South Tawton, flicks the switch to light up the town. Twelve corporate teams, each having paid £1,000, will take part and further rounds will be held throughout November and December. A winner-takes-all play-off will determine the ultimate champion. Schools will also be invited to participate in a young people?s challenge being hosted by Debenhams. Noel said: ?I am proud to be switching on the Exeter Christmas lights this year. It still amazes me that Deal or No Deal has become such a popular show and I am sure that contestants in the ELF Deal or No Deal Challenge will get a lot of fun from the game.? He praised Stagecoach, a huge supporter of ELF, who had made the challenge possible and Exeter City Football Club for its support.
