A NIGHT of amusement and musical memories should hit the right note when Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band holds a reunion evening next month.
The event is meant to be a special occasion for Reg Beardon who has retired after 30 years as Excelsior?s bandmaster.
The idea came from band supporters Jenny Ware, Bet Kelly and Mavis Westlake. They want as many ex-members, supporters and partners to turn up as possible.
?Come along and meet some old friends,? said Bet.
?If anyone has any old pictures the band would be delighted if they brought them along to share with other current and past members.?
Although he retired as bandmaster Reg still plays with the band, having been a member since he joined as a youngster.
