MID Devon Pony Club tetrathletes had a wonderfully successful day at the Spooners PC?s tet at Tavistock over the weekend.

The first three phases were held at Mount House and Kelly and the weather and settings were perfect, as was the mini girls? shooting - all four Mid Devon girls shot more than 880 points.

The team of Charlotte Rowe, Ellen Bright, Jessica Morimore and Lottie Trerise won their class by a staggering 2,000 points, with Charlotte winning the individual event, Lottie coming fourth, Jessica sixth and Ellen having a fifth in the Tri. Charlotte had best shoot, swim and a clear round ride and Jessica did well to ride clear on her new pony.

Lottie had PBs in all three phases, Ellen had a PB shoot and swim; Jessica had a PB swim and Charlotte a PB shoot.

The mini boys welcomed Hugh Bailey for the first time and they won the triathlon team prize after a PB swim from Antony Geering and brilliant runs from Hugh and William Leech. After the riding phase, Antony finished in third place and William came fourth.

In the junior girls, Rebecca Rowe put up a brilliant performance to win individually with best shoot and swim and a lovely clear round over the cross-country course.

Scarlett Geering was also in fine form, posted a great PB swim on her way to second place in the Tet class. The two girls were in a mixed team that won a huge rosebowl as winners of the team section.

Finally, Jess Trerise haad a great tussle with schoolmate Kim Bland from the Eggesford PC, Jess just having the upper hand on the Saturday. Although she had a brilliant round cross country on her new horse, Kim?s clear round meant she came second and Jess third in the class.
