AFTER numerous appeals failed to find a new leader for the 1st South Zeal Cub Scouts, the group has regretfully had to take the decision to disband. Ian and Linda Lee have resigned as cub scout leaders at 1st South Zeal Scout Group after many years of dedicated work and will be leaving next month. Despite many appeals for a new leader, unfortunately no one has come forward. Therefore, the final meeting of the cubs will take place on Thursday, July 7. If anyone is prepared to help so that the cub scout pack can continue, please contact the chair Sue Trussler on 01837 659743 or Caroline Boother on 01837 840039 as soon as possible. l The 1st South Zeal Scouts hold their annual fete and meeting on Sunday, June 19, at the Scout Hut in South Tawton from 4pm to 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and support their local scout group. There will be a barbecue, raffle, cake stall and a circus skills workshop. The meeting will take place, following the fete, at 5.30pm.
