THE children in the pre-school and pre-prep classes at Shebbear College were visited recently by state registered nurse Wendy Finch. After showing the children some of the nurse’s equipment and explaining how they work and what they are used for, Wendy demonstrated various tests such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, temperature and eye health. Then the children experimented with the equipment in a very hands-on lesson which involved a frenzy of bandaging which even the staff could not escape.
