THERE is an opportunity to hear writer and activist Greg Muttitt in Tavistock next Tuesday, October 4, when he will speak on 'Oil and War in Iraq and Libya — A Secret History'.
Greg has worked on Iraqi issues since the war started in 2003 and his work has appeared frequently in the media, including The Financial Times and the BBC.
His new book, 'Fuel on the Fire: Oil and Politics in Occupied Iraq' has been described as 'nothing short of a secret history of the war' (Naomi Klein) and includes detail from hundreds of unreleased government documents and many interviews with senior officials and oilmen.
The talk, organised by Tavistock Peace Action Group, is an opportunity to hear about Greg's tireless and thorough investigations.
A spokesperson for the group said: 'He is an excellent speaker and is travelling from London specially to give his talk, which will discuss both Iraq and Libya.'
The event will be held at The Rundle Room, Tavistock Town Hall, at 7.30pm. Admission free.
