THE Inner Wheel Club of Tavistock celebrated its birthday with a dinner at Tavistock Golf Club on January 12.

The club was given a talk by Dr David Adams, head of Optometry at the Royal Eye Infirmary on his experiences abroad.

David and his wife Pam have both spent time visiting Africa. The talk was extremely informative.

A cheque was presented by club president Sue Lake to David in aid of the Sightsavers charity.

This money was raised by members of the club from donations in lieu of Christmas cards.
