A TAVISTOCK inn has raised £400 for a resident who is to cycle 700km in Vietnam in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care. Sally Perkins, landlady of the Market Inn, presented the cheque to Ian Chappell, the money having been raised by charity darts, pool and quiz nights. Ian, who has so far raised £2,000, thanked the staff of the inn and everyone who sponsored him. He is trying to raise even more and anyone interested in sponsoring him can contact him on 01822 612529 or call at the Market Inn and ask for Sally. The inn is hoping to have monthly quiz nights to raise more funds for the sponsored cycle ride, starting on September 16 at 8.30pm.
