THE history of a fascinating family who played a role in the Italian Renaissance will be the subject of the June lecture of the Dartmoor Decorative and Fine Arts Society.
On Wednesday (June 12) writer, artist and television presenter Douglass Skeggs will be talking about the history of the Medici, a political dynasty, banking family and royal house that had great wealth and influence in Florence.
The talk will be held in the Charter Hall, Okehampton — doors open at 10am for tea and coffee, with a 10.30am prompt start following the group's annual meeting.
Everyone is welcome. For non members a voluntary donation of £10 per talk is requested — refunded if you join the society.
