RESIDENTS at a West Devon nursing home received a lovely surprise over the Christmas period from Dartmoor Prison.

Prisoners donated items of food, which were then put into hampers and sent to residents of Venville House residential home in Princetown and also to Royal Court sheltered housing in Princetown.

Owner of Venville House Lindsey Huntley said: 'It was very kind of them to do this. The residents were delighted with the donation.'
