Railway Beacon 3

Rangers U15s 2

THE hosts started the better of the two using the slope to good advantage and scored after 10 minutes after Horrabridge failed to clear their lines enabling the Beacon striker to score from 12 yards.

Horrabridge then started to play some good football and deservedly equalised when Harry Eaton's through-ball sent Josh Birch racing clear and he made no mistake in rounding the goalkeeper and placing the ball in the empty net.

Horrabridge doubled their lead five minutes later when a huge clearance by goalkeeper Ollie Cox deceived the home defence and Josh Birch nipped between defenders to fire the ball home from 16 yards.

Horrabridge started the second half well but missed several chances and the home side equalised after a superb strike from 25 yards from Mann.

It was Beacon who got the goal when Horrabridge failed to deal with a long throw-in and the Railway striker smashed the ball into the goal from four yards.

Horrabridge thought they had equalised with minutes left but Max Burgess's superb effort was ruled out for offside.

Rangers player of the match was Sam Ryder.

Horrabridge Rangers 2

Plymstock Utd 4

THE visitors started well and took the lead after a mix up in the Rangers defence aloud Gorniak to head home.

The home side deservedly equalised 10 minutes later when Courtney Fry superbly smashed the ball home from 20 yards giving the Plymstock keeper no chance. Horrabridge then began to dominate with Harry Eaton and Taylor Kingham running the show from midfield.

Horrabridge could have then taken the lead when Alex Madar's clever pass found Fry who's shot was well saved by the visiting keeper. Plymstock then scored when a corner was cleared by the Horrabridge defence only for Walton to fire the ball back home from 16 yards.

In the second half Plymstock added to their lead after 50 minutes when Robertson shot home from 10 yards. Horrabridge continued to play good football passing the ball and gave themselves a lifeline when the impressive Harry Eaton's through ball was met by Courtney Fry, who raced clear to coolly beat the keeper from 10 yards.

Plymstock then started to up their tempo playing some good football but the Horrabridge defence of Ryder, Johnson, Glanville and Northam were also in top form and aided by two outstanding saves by Ollie Cox, Horrabridge were always in the game.

But with five minutes to go Plymstock added a fourth after Gorniak's cross come shot flew into the top corner from 30 yards. Horrabridge did not give up and a Billy Rawlinson effort was ruled offside.
