IMAGES of Tavistock and the Tamar Valley feature in an exhibition opening in Plymouth. The diverse collection of photographs, entitled Tamar Valley Resounding Images, captures the West Devon area of the World Heritage Site, with its rich mining heritage and landscape features and including lesser-known industrial architecture. Wildlife, transport and mine sites are included and aerial photographs showing the entire heritage site will also be on show. The exhibition will also include images from twelve Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, two National Parks and the South West Coast Path, under the title Another View. A further group of photographic images entitled Landmark Britain shows a series of panoramas from well-known South West landscapes. The month-long exhibition at the Royal William Yard, from Tuesday September 26 to Thursday October 26, has been organised by the Tamar Valley AONB team and Peninsula Arts. Local photographers include Chris Chapman, Ted Giffords, David Chapman, Russell Youles, Matt Holloway and Barry Gamble.
