PERFORMERS can now register to take part in Hatherleigh's Got Talent 2011.

The event on Friday November 25 is open to any kind of performer, from musicians, poets, dancers, comedians or have any other talent they wish to share. The competition is open to those from outside Hatherleigh as well as those in the town.

Liz Abell, chair of the trustees of Hatherleigh Community Centre, said: 'Last year's winner, Holly Gilbert, was recently the star act at the Hatherleigh Community Awards in September, and the whole audience was mesmerised by her performance.

'She has set a very high standard for this year's competitors to reach. If you think you have a talent and would like to take part, please register as soon as possible.'

The event provides an evening of entertainment for the whole family, with a licensed bar and snacks available on the night. All proceeds raised will support community use of the community centre.
