PARKLANDS Leisure Centre has brought roller disco to Okehampton.

The centre will host the event every other Saturday. The first roller disco was scheduled to take place on Saturday May 12, with the next session planned for May 26.

The sessions can be enjoyed by adults and children alike, with modern dance tunes to get everyone in a groovy mood.

Jon Smith, contract manager for Parklands, said: 'We're really excited about hosting a regular roller disco, it's such a fun activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

'We think its very important to help bring the local community together and what better way than with roller skates and disco music?'
