POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Yelverton on Friday.

Police were called to the A386 Dousland road in Yelverton at around 2.20pm, where two pedestrians, an elderly man and woman, were involved in a collision with a Ford Ka and taken to Derriford Hospital.

The man was suffering from serious injuries.

The Ford Ka is thought to be the only vehicle involved.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 472 of August 17.
