TICKET prices for this year's Sticklepath Ball in aid of the New Okehampton Hospital Appeal will rise this weekend — so now is your last chance to get them at the reduced price of £18.
Excitement is brewing for one of the village's main events of the year which returns on June 21 after last year's cancellation due to the foot and mouth crisis.
Tickets have been selling well and there is expected to be a rush on before they increase to £20 on Saturday.
They can be bought at the pubs and post office in South Zeal and Sticklepath and Donald's Menswear in Okehampton.
Dinner jacket and tie for the gentlemen and evening gowns for the ladies is the traditional attire for this popular event which will take place in a de luxe marquee and include dancing and a buffet supper.
In addition there will be a grand raffle. Entertainment will be provided by dance band 'Midnight'.
The National Trust is sponsoring a craft show in the marquee on June 22 and to complete a full weekend of activity on Finch Foundry Green, a tea dance will be held on the afternoon of June 23, with music provided by Okehampton College Big Band and refreshments in the form of cream teas and Pimms.
