COMPUTER courses available over the next couple of months in West Devon will see participants being paid to complete them.
One-day courses are running in Tavistock and Okehampton, or a course at home supported by a tutor can be taken. Each course costs £13.99, but on completion students will receive a cheque for £25.
The courses are being run by the Business Information Point on behalf of Learning Direct, and the range of applications on offer includes internet and e-mail, word processing, web design, desktop publishing and spreadsheets.
The first course starts on November 3 in Okehampton and early booking for all courses is advised as the ?paid-to-learn? courses have proved popular.
West Devon-based Business Information Point gives advice, training and support for small and medium-sized businesses, also providing remote learning via the Internet on management training. These courses include starting and growing a business, marketing and book-keeping and qualify for the £25 payment on completion.
