HOTEL Endsleigh's Repton-designed garden will be opening to the public in aid of the RNLI on Sunday, April 22. The garden has a mature arboretum and the longest border in England, together with a picturesque dell, streams, rockery and Gunnera. However, the main attractions at this time of year are the rhododendrons and spring bulbs. The garden will be open from 11am to 5pm, with guided tours at 11am, 11.30am, 2pm and 2.30pm. The admission fee is £5 adults and £3 senior citizens and disabled. Children under 15 will be admitted free of charge. Situated on the banks of the River Tamar, the garden is not suitable for the disabled and parents are advised to take care of their children near water. RNLI gifts and souvenirs will be on sale, provided by the Tavistock and District branch of the RNLI, together with refreshments. The garden will be open again on June 17, by permission of Alex Polizzi, when the borders will be in bloom. Further information from 01822 870000.
