ART enthusiasts can enjoy a sneak preview of a Timmy Mallett original at the Moorland Garden Hotel near Yelverton until tomorrow (Friday).
Known to a generation as children's TV presenter 'Mallett's Mallett', Timmy is now gaining a glowing reputation for his art.
Named 'best up and coming artist of the year' by the Fine Art Trade Guild in 2012, the former TV-am presenter will be sharing some of his work as part of an exhibition at the Royal William Yard in Plymouth from 23 March to 7 April.
Anyone wanting an exclusive taste of what's in store should drop into the Moorland Garden Hotel to admire the painting hanging in the lounge.
Andrew Jenkins, general manager from The Moorland Garden Hotel, said: 'Timmy's painting looks quite at home in the lounge, we're thrilled to have been loaned it and welcome anyone who'd like to pop in and see it before it goes on official display in Plymouth.'
The Moorland Garden Hotel was purchased in July 2011 by business entrepreneurs Sonia and Brian Meaden and is nearing the end of an extensive refurbishment programme, which has included refreshing all 44 bedrooms and the main hotel areas with the help of leading West Country interior designer, Nadine Judd.
