AN AIR ambulance was called out to Belstone this weekend after a woman was knocked over by a riderless horse.
The woman was out walking her dogs at Belstone Cleave with a friend when she saw two riderless horses heading towards the riverbank where a group of children were playing.
The woman was knocked over by one of the horses and was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with a suspected broken leg. The incident occurred at around 4pm on Saturday.
The air ambulance responded within ten minutes of being called out.
