A WORLD famous horse trainer will visit Okehampton as part of his autumn UK tour.

Monty Roberts is an American trainer famed for his 'join-up' technique of forming a voluntary relationship between an untamed horse and a trainer.

He has written a best selling autobiography, 'The Man Who Listens to Horses', and was appointed an Honorary Member of the Royal Victorian Order by the Queen in the 2011 birthday honours list.

The theme of the tour is 'From My Hands To Yours', sharing Monthy's secrets and vast experience to show guests how they can produce their own safe partnership with a horse.

As part of his demonstrations, Monty is looking for local horses with problems, to show how his kind but effective methods work. Issues might include bucking, spooking and refusal to load.
